[3/21/2008] Please plan to attend the BCDC Commission Meeting at 1:00 PM on May 1 at the Ferry Building, Second Floor, to voice your support for the reinstatement of the harbor’s ten year permit for sand-mining off of the outer breakwater.  This involves reopening and dredging the pit to trap sand that comes into the bay and clogs the harbor entrance.  There is no cost to us, as the dredger pays the Marina Harbor Trust Fund as it then resells the sand to contractors. [3/9/2007] Although the Marina Harbor Renovation Project Environmental Impact Review (“EIR”) was adopted on Jan. 18, an appeal cited the need for dry storage of small boats. The SF Board of Supervisors will vote on the EIR on Tuesday, March 13 at 2 pm. There will be no opportunity for the public to speak. After the vote on the 13th, the Board will meet to discuss the next steps and set the agenda and date of our next General Meeting.
